Before you give all the credit to the DEMS and blame to the GOP, remind yourself of who has led the Colorado Film Commission over the years. Several disappointing and nearly laughable industry 'leaders' blew many many opportunities to get the legislation going. Bad personalities, bad presentations, and even worse strategies played major 'roles' in not getting this done for a very long time. It wasn't just the Dems and the 'Looper that found this idea on the sidewalk one day and then claimed that they invented it. Did you know that one of the co-sponsors is actually a Republican? Hello!?
You may hate to admit this but to keep this bill active and working you just may have to put your politics on the shelf for awhile. This isn't a Democratic or Republican Incentive as much as you would like it to be. It's now an industry incentive - period. Gawd, you libs and your 'spiking the football' all the time! Get over yourselves.
And remember the huge taxes and fees oil and gas producers pay to the state for doing business here, and for what they take out of the ground will show up in the rebates to the producers. Or where did you think that money is coming from - that magic Democratic wishing well that 'produces' those 'oh-so-special' budget deficits? And how do you think the producers will get to their locations, power their equipment, fuel the choppers, cook their meals, recharge their iPhones and laptops, and keep their hotel rooms lit and warm? Might just take some energy sources eh, Lee? Or have you invented the first lighting rigs and grip trucks that run on wind mills? Lots of things that make the film, video, and TV production business work need to be "plugged in". Some of them quite a lot!
And be careful with the 'thousands' of jobs thing Biden-junior. At the height of the Raymond Burr, Dick VanDyke, and even the Food Network productions, the local professional jobs created numbered in the several hundreds. Nice numbers for sure, but not in the 'thousands'. Do you know of any producers anywhere in this Country or Canada who are NOT cutting back on crew numbers? If you do, please share.
Hey, this is a great thing for the Colorado production industries. The politics of it is a 'wrap'. Now we need to be careful and diligent about who and how this incentive is promoted to the industry. Because that ball has been fumbled before too!

Re: Is the American West the new Saudi Arabia when it comes to oil and gas?

After navigation arrives styling, which is where you create your individual coloration scheme. Same goes for any corporation out there what ever the industry they are in. These film and television industry incentives will finally bring major productions to the state, and along with the hundreds of millions of dollars spent on local goods and services by the various entities involved with the productions, they will create thousands of jobs.

Never forget, Bill Owens and a hyper gas/oil industry focused Republican state legislature essentially killed film and television production in the state. It was once a vibrant and highly successful industry and employed thousands of locals with high paying jobs. Essentially, Republicans will always kill any intelligent incentives for this industry, and it is important for a strong future in film and television production in the state to never forget the party responsible for nearly destroying the business in the past.

Re: Denver’s Tattered Cover Bookstores brand to come to DIA

Excellent. Tattered Cover is a treasure in Denver, and perhaps travelers from elsewhere will get a taste as well. Hudson News by itself is pretty shallow, but by adding TC there will be fine retail locations for readers at DIA.

Bankruptcy gives a person a relatively quick "fresh
start".

            Bankruptcy in
Canada should only be a last resort. Common reasons for Canadian
bankruptcy are job loss, excessive student loan debt, or medical
expenses. We understand that problems like these are sometimes unavoidable.
however, if bankruptcy is the right solution for you, your bankruptcy
trustee will guide you through the process.

Re: Troubleshooter Tom Martino loses suit against bankruptcy trustee

This guy is pure scum. Thank God the Feds are smart enough to smell scum and put him back in his place. Holly will be looking for a new Sugar Daddy soon. She is hot, I am available.

Re: Denver’s Amélie wins OBIE award for state patrol campaign

Despite low mortgage rates, refinancing activity has been slow and experts believe consumers seem to be ignoring rate reductions because they don’t feel like they’ll qualify for good deals, for them a place to check is 123 Refinance online

Re: Troubleshooter Tom Martino loses suit against bankruptcy trustee

Tom, you should have listened to advice as to how to control you expenses.
